This policy was originally written in Japanese. To the extent any translated version of this policy conflicts with the Japanese version, the Japanese version controls.

Definition of “Personal Information”

“Personal Information” is a piece or pieces of information including, name, date of birth, age, sex, place of living (address), telephone number, e-mail address, ID, network IP address, timestamps, work information (company name, address, organization, title, phone number), credit card information, bank account information, activity logs, location information, device name, device’s OS information, and others, one or more of which combined can be used to uniquely identify a individual person.

Collection of “Personal Information”

We collect and use the following and the following only “Personal Information” in order to serve the purposes specified below:

  1. Device Information

    2. The device’s make/model/name and its OS version used to access PiQy are collected and
    used in order to improve our service.

  2. Account Information

    3. ID, e-mail address, FacebookID*, TwitterID* (* if used to register PiQy)
    At the registration to PiQy, we may ask to provide one or more of the items listed above, which we use to authenticate a user. Each user is uniquely identified to be able to use PiQy and receive information regarding it.

  3. Location information

    4. Geolocation (longitude and latitude) information given from your device’s GPS system is used to provide service such as card exchange which require GPS information to function properly.

  4. Address book

    5. Your device’s address book entries including contact names, nicknames, work information (company name, organization, title), phone number, e-mail address, home address, web address, date of birth, memo) are collected, when only requested, to provide address book service. The information is stored within your device, and a temporary backup copy is stored on our server and can be deleted upon your request. The information either on your device or on our server is NOT disclosed, passed, or sold to any third parties.

  5. Your Profile Information

    6. Your name, date of birth, sex, marital status, work information (company name, organization, title), e-mail address, phone number, home address, web address, web service ID’s are collected to provide various user services in PiQy. The information collected is stored on your device and a temporary backup copy is stored on our server. Except for your name, you only provide those items that you decide to do so, and after the collection, you have the control over whom you decide to disclose them to. We only collect the information to serve your purpose but do not provide, disclose or sold it to any third parties.

  6. Questionnaires and Campaigns

    7. Your name, home address, phone number, e-mail address, sex, date of birth are collected through various questionnaires and campaigns. The information collected are used specified the person and to send prize gifts when applicable.

  7. Inquiries and Opinion regarding PiQy

    8. Your name, phone number, e-mail address are collected in order to answer your inquiries and/or to respond to your opinions provided to us regarding PiQy.

Disclosure of “Personal Information”

Usage of “Personal Information” and its purpose can be notified upon the request of the owner of the information only, however, we may dismiss the owner’s request in such cases as follows:

  1. The owner’s and/or any other third individuals’ life, well-beings, properties, and other rights and profits are put at risk by disclosure.
  2. Substantial risk at the operation of our service is present.
  3. Laws and other regulations are violated.

Collection Methods

  1. We only collect information in fair and lawful methods and do not go against the users’ will.
  2. Should such a case happen when any “Personal Information” is received from any third parties, we confirmed the information we receive is collected in appropriate manners by the providing third parties.

Disclosure of "Personal Information" to Third Party

We may disclose your "Personal Information" to third parties when one or more of the following conditions apply:

  1. The user explicitly granted the exposure.
  2. When the expouser does not interfere with any law or regulation set by government and other authorities.
  3. We believe that the user violated the Terms and Conditions set for "PiQy" and need to protect our service, intellectual properties and other rights.
  4. When prompt exposure is needed in order to protect human life or to prevent bodily and other types of injuries under circumstances where the user's explicit consent is reasonably difficult to acquire.
  5. Impovement of public health or promotion of healthy nature of children is demanded under circumstances where the hser's explicit consent is reasonably difficult to acquire.
  6. When we must cooperate with federal, a local authority or any entity under consignment of operations for those authorities and acquiring user's consent may hinder the operation.
  7. When we hold one or more third parties under consignment of handling your "Personal Information" where we see neccessary.
  8. When "PiQy" service is passed, given or sold to other business entity according to M&A contract and other appropriate reasons.

Use of Statistics

We may use masked untraceable information created from “Personal Information” in order to statistically analyze the use of our service without any implicit/explicit prior consent or permission of users.

Editting of “Personal Information”

Users may browse, correct, add, delete any pieces of their own “Personal Information” at any time they wish.

Managing and Maintaining “Personal Information”

We utilize any security measures to the best of our knowledge to protect “Personal Information” from loss, abuse, breach and other possible threats.

User Identification and Authorization

We use any pieces of “Personal Information” provided to uniquely identify an individual user in order to provide our web services and to authorize any requests of disclosure, correction, deletion of “Personal Information” made by the owner him/herself.

Collection and Use of Activity Logs

We may collect and use users’ activity logs, such as accessed page address, contents and its order, in order to improve our future services, to deliver advertisements, and to obtain statistic data.

Revision of this “Privacy Policy”

We may revise this “Privacy Policy” at any time and in any way we wish unless the revision violates applicable laws and regulations.
